How come some people find it very difficult to undergo hypnosis?

March 9th, 2010 . by admin

why so in your opinion?

it maybe easy to recall past things without feeling, but is it really difficult to feel the emotions involved with those things for some?

and is hypnosis mentally draining for some for this reason?

why and how so?

thanks for your answers!

Hypnosis can be a very rewarding thing. People who have problems leaching the Alpha level and beyond are usually afraid, mostly afraid of being controlled by others. Contrary to being mentally draining it’s just the opposite. You will awaken very refreshed. Bear in mind one thing that most people don’t known, there a many techniques of reaching that wonderful state but most are visual or audible fixation methods. There is an abundance of info on the internet and I assure you, it won’t be a waste of time.

How important is agreement and trust in hypnosis?

March 7th, 2010 . by admin

how does hypnosis work basically and does it involve reducing someone to a child like way of thinking or perceiving the world again?

also, is it very painful for some to have to relive their past memories etc?

and is this why some are unable to undergo hypnosis?

why so?

Thanks for your answers!

Hypnosis works by bringing a person into a peculiar state of consciousness with reduced peripheral awareness accompanied by strictly focused attention.

While a person are in this state they are highly receptive to be influenced by suggestion directed at a person.

If you try to bring back past memories, be careful and remember that you can bring unwanted memories to surface.

If a person in unable to undergo hypnosis it has more to do with having a critical mind, if a person wants to be hypnotized, it is very important that he/she keeps an open mind and trust whoever is hypnotizing.

Hello

Hypnosis has been around for centuries & is very affective for all manner of issues.

Self hypnosis techniques can be learnt quite easily, pop into my group & ask, visit Amazon – they have good selection of books.

Hypnosis is a natural state, so it is not something that your subconscious mind will find alien.

Visiting a hypnothrapist would probably be more beneficial, either for instruction or for formal hypnosis.

As you have anger issues at present, you may benefit from learning how to simply relax the body in the first instance.

What can you tell me about hypnosis and its success in aiding quitting smoking?

March 3rd, 2010 . by admin

I’ve been hypnotised before but has anyone had success at quiitting smoking through hypnosis? How can I find a reputable hypnotist and how much can I expect to pay.

Thanks all

I was hypnotised 25 years ago to give up smoking – it worked for as long as I was having hypnosis. Luckily, mine was done free by an anaesthetist who was looking for guinea pigs to practice on so he could use it for pain relief for patients. I’m glad I didn’t pay though, otherwise I would have had an expensive habit and an expensive therapy.
I eventually gave up the day my mum died from cancer which was the day after I found out I was pregnant and at the same time as we were really struggling financially. A really bad time in my life. I figured that I was always ‘waiting for the right time’ which never happened, so why not try a really bad time instead. That was 22 years ago and I’ve never looked back.
